I will be the first to admit that I have a wide and varied set of interests and there never seems enough time in the day or extra cash to truly invest in mastering most, forget all, of the subjects that draw me. Because of this I have decided to enjoy knowledge as it comes and seek out others who share similar interests hoping that what lessons can be enjoyed and learned during the brief periods of time I share with these groups of people will satisfy my curiosity and thirst for that specific knowledge and experience. That is why I joined a number of local interest groups via http://www.meetup.com/Meetup is a world wide organization that connects people via mutual interests groups in your area. You can search for things you are curious about and/or start up your own local group and organize participants. This site encourages local community and is an amazing resource for learning and networking.
