Holiday Celebrations - Kwanza and Orgami Tree @ AMNH

One of my favorite holiday events takes place at
the American Museum of Natural History
Central Park West at 79th Street
New York, NY 10024-5192 USA
From November 22 through January 1st a decorated Christmas Tree will grace the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Hall on the first floor. Beginning in July volunteers began creating the over 500 folded ornaments that will shine on the tree this year. Each ornament represents an item that can be found in the museums wonderful displays and recent exhibitions. In addition to staring with wonder at each and every color paper creation there will be demonstrations showing you how to make your own.

And don't forget to return to the museum on December 28th for the
Kwanza Fest Celebration
This all day event will take place in Ocean Life Hall on the main floor and feature song, dance and spoken word performances as well as an international market place that honor the 7 base principles of Kwanza.

Both events are free with Museum Admission.
