The Wildlife Conservation Society (Bronx Zoo, Prospect Park Zoo, Central Park Zoo, Queens Zoo and Aquarium) is facing severe cuts in the Governorʼs proposed budget. WCS could lose 55% of the current yearʼs funding and total elimination next fiscal year. These state budget cuts will have serious consequences on our living institutions. Our goal is to obtain 50,000 petition signatures and on-line messages delivered to the Governor and legislative leaders by March 1, 2009.
