I remember when Astor Wines & Spirits was actually located on Astor Place. It was there that I was first introduced to and made my first purchase of wine. Years passed and I wandered and purchased from various vendors but Astor Wines always stayed in the back of my mind as a fond memory.With the revitalization or regentrification, your choice, of the East Village Astor Wines relocated to a larger and grander space in the landmark De Vinne Press Building at 399 Lafayette Street at 4th Street. The space has given them 50% more selling floor for one of the largest selections of wine and spirits at the best prices around. In addition to free tastings, classes on foods and wines and discount Tuesdays they have an informative website that allows you to sign up for email updates on new arrivals, search for specific labels you may be interested in and notifications of weekly specials, but this is another place I strongly suggest you make the effort to visit -
