Shopping Spot in Virtual Brooklyn

Each year come birthday or holiday my friend P and I try to share gifts that are either handmade or uncommon, creative items that reflect the person we each know the other to be. This year I received a recycled wood jigsaw frame from a company called Uncommon Goods.
It's perfect for some fall themed photos of my niece and nephew.

Uncommon Goods is an online market place that offers an amazing selection of goods at affordable prices. Many of the items are hand made and use environmentally friendly and responsible materials. They even donate a portion of each sale to number of non-profit organizations. They are privately owned and located in Brooklyn (see pic for warehouse, not a retail store!) but because they have a site the extent of what they can and do sell is amazing.

A first glance a visit to the website is overwhelming until you realize how easy the designer has made it for you to search and organize your shopping. Their item options are extensive and you can shop for just about everything and everyone in need of a home, decor, stationary, personal items, jewelry or clothing. The site highlights new additions, both item and artist, allows you to shop based on budget restraints, special occasion and you can even create a gift registry and wish list that can be made accessible for those who need to be in the know.

I encourage a visit and a browse - www.uncommongoods.com
