Ms. Horne always seemed to be a presence in my family. People said my mother looks so much like her we teased that she was the daughter forgotten in Brooklyn. Looks aside, Ms Horne's history, her talent and refusal to be anything or anyone more than who she was inspired many generations. Thank You Ms. Horne, Thank You.
