I have never had the desire to take video but recently I have been considering uploading some videos on the blog. That idea is still under consideration but in preparation of this possibility I decided it was time to take the plunge and buy a digital camcorder. Of course the digital camera is perfectly capable of taking videos but you know how we like toys!
Say hello to the Flip Mino HD Hand Held Recorder. This camera is no larger than your average cell phone and its 2GB of memory can record 60 minutes of digital video, which is more than enough "air time" for me to play with. The package includs the camcorder, TV connection cord, a soft case, a wrist strap and instructions. Not one to take advantage of most of the bells and whistles on electronics this camera is beyond simple with a zoom in and out option that I am still trying to "master". The easy to use software downloads the first time the device is attached to your comp to charge(net access needed) and the all in one camera port makes it easy to charge and upload videos.
I purchased my little lovely from the devil, dell.com, for about $170. Of course after buying it I discovered that Amazon offers a refurbished Flip for just $125 (free shipping)!
