I recently received Peter Golenbock's 704 page tribute to the land of my people, Brooklyn.
In the Country of Brooklyn - Inspiration to the World explores the history of the borough through the personal stories its residents. Did you know that 1 in every 7 people in the US can trace their family back to Brooklyn? I didn't either, but I am sure I will know a lot more about the land of my forefathers after I read this book...aaaaaaah the luxury of knowledge!
