I don't get the invest in sneaker trend, but then I am one that considers sneakers shoes for comfort, for sport and recreation. I can admire a well designed pair and have fallen in love with a pair or two in my time, a fushia pair of suede Converses I wore until they pleaded to be put out of their misery followed by a pair of lime green and yellow Adidas that begged to die come to mind. After those 2 pair I lost all interest in making sure my kicks were "kicking", so you can imagine that I was totally taken aback when I ran across the image of Golden Goose Sneakers in Vogue for $420. These custom Italian made sneakers look like a pair of home decorated bargain basement Converse beaten to hell. I can recall the days when my cousins and I had to decorate cheap "Converse" wanna-bes to avoid getting the crap beat out of us at school for wearing "rejects". I wonder if I can find my fushia sneakers at the city dump??!
