In the heart of what is still known as New York's little Brazil is a store filled with all manner of metal and bead for both the professional and home jewelry maker. Metalliferous, located at 34 West 46th Street, is jammed packed with every thing one can dream of and more to use to make jewelry and other craft items.
The store is often crowded and the service often short but they will pass you a basket and leave you to your own devices to plunder the boxes, shelves and bins of silver findings, chains, metal working tools, resin and glass odds and ends.
Check out their website www.metalliferous.com for stock items but I strongly recommend visiting the place to paw through the treasures they have limited supply of.
